About me
Collaboration is my main objective
Whatever your infrastructure project requirements are, I am here to support and provide services to deliver a successful outcome, with professionalism and dedication
i'm iain, Nice to meet you
Welcome to my consulting business, and thank you for taking the time to look at my website. So, who am I? Well, here's a bit about me.
I was born, educated, and started my engineering career in the United Kingdom. In 2006, accompanied by my wife, Julie, and our two young daughters, we emigrated to New Zealand in search of a different life. Choosing to settle in Christchurch, we set up home and I embarked on extending my career supporting the water industry. In September 2010, life was literally turned upside down by the Canterbury Earthquakes, followed five months later by the devastating February 2011 quakes. For the following five years, I put my engineering experience to use as a senior design leader within the SCIRT Alliance, as we set about rebuilding the critical infrastructure servicing the city. Since then, I have played key lead roles in the delivery of a multitude of infrastructure projects, and transitioned from a technical delivery lead into a Project and Programme Manager. This is my 'happy place'.
In 2022, Julie and I relocated to the beautiful Central Otago region. This has allowed me to continue to service an established Client base in the district, and develop relationships with new Clients. I also branched out and set up Arion Consulting, as a means to provide to the widest possible number of people the management services that I love to offer. I sincerely hope that will include you.
